Do you dream of directing, shooting, or editing your own film?
Whether you’ve dabbled with DIY videos or you're just eager to dive in, this hands-on, week-long workshop is for aspiring filmmakers aged 15–18.
• No experience necessary—just bring your passion for film!
• All equipment is provided.
• BYO lunch and snacks!
Across five exciting days, participants will explore the complete filmmaking process—from story development to the final screening. Using DSLR and broadcast cameras, green screens, studio lighting, and professional editing tools, you'll gain real-world experience working as part of a creative film crew.
Workshop Schedule
Day 1: Development - Tuesday 13 January
Kick off with an introduction to filmmaking styles, genres, and storytelling techniques. Then start brainstorming and scripting your team’s short film project.
Day 2: Pre-Production - Wednesday 14 January
Create storyboards, schedules, shot lists, assign crew roles, and organise props, costumes, and locations. Every detail gets covered to ensure a smooth shoot.
Day 3: Production - Thursday 15 January
Lights, camera, action! Work in your team to film your project using professional equipment. Rotate roles so everyone gets hands-on experience with cameras, sound, and directing.
Day 4: Post-Production - Friday 16 January
Edit your footage using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut. Learn essential post-production skills including sound design, colour grading, title design, and non-linear editing techniques.
Day 5: Distribution & Screening - Saturday 17 January
Wrap up any final edits and create marketing materials—like posters and promo graphics—for your film. Then share your work with friends and family at a special group screening to celebrate your creativity and hard work.
