Wednesday Night Workshop: Mini Scapes and Book Nooks

Welcome back for another year of Wednesday Night Workshops, where you are invited to pause your everyday routine and participate in a hands-on, art-making workshop for two hours.
In 2026 Wednesday Night Workshops will explore playful art making, opening up to experimentation and just enjoying the act of creating. Each month we will introduce a new art material or medium, with teaching artist Yaz Gaté guiding us to uncover playful techniques and surprising approaches.
To kick off the workshop series, you will create a mini-scape or book nook to adorn your bookshelf. A book nook is a mini-world of your dreams that sits nestled amongst books on a shelf. Using a range of mediums and approaches, you are invited to create your own cosy world in miniature form. This workshop is your mixed media taster, an opportunity to try a project that involves multiple mediums from paint to clay to paper.
Guided by teaching artist Yaz Gaté, and accompanied by snacks, drinks and like minded folks, this is your invitation to join our little community of makers at the next Wednesday Night Workshop.
All materials provided. No experience necessary.
Enjoy snacks and a drink upon arrival.
Who is Wednesday Night Workshop for?
Folks aged 18+ who enjoy being a bit creative and want to meet like-minded people. No previous art experience is required for these workshops, just a willingness to try something new!
