Are the facilities accessible?

We want all visitors to have equal access to everything Bunjil Place has to offer.

By partnering with an accessibility expert when planning Bunjil Place, we were able to incorporate many accessible design features, including:

  • a fully accessible adult change room complete with hoist
  • a fully accessible theatre, featuring ramps and seating options for people in wheelchairs
  • a fully accessible community plaza
  • minimising the need for stairs and lifts by providing access to the core community facilities from the ground floor
  • a user-friendly gradient and conveniently located car parking spaces
  • designated disabled car parking spaces.

Furthermore our adult change facility has been formally registered as a Changing Place. Changing Places are public toilets with full sized change tables & hoists in major public spaces across Australia. They are an important requirement for accessible facilities and aim to expand visitation opportunities for people with severe and profound disabilities.

Where can I find accessible car parking and drop off points?

The closest accessible parking spaces are available in the car park directly opposite Bunjil Place, accessed via Magid Drive.

Accessible spaces are also located in the car park in Overland Drive, to the east of the precinct.

Drop off points are located directly outside Bunjil Place along Patrick Northeast Drive.

For specific advice about accessibility and how we can help tailor your experience, contact us on 03 9709 9700.
