The Flowering Tree: Casey South Asian Arts Pathway

Hours

3.00 pm

Duration

120 minutes (including 20 minute interval)

Location

Bunjil Place Studio

After 2 months of workshops and preparation, 7 emerging local talents from the Casey South Asian Arts Pathway Program are ready to present The Flowering Tree - a group performance like none other.

These performers have been focusing on their core discipline (music and dance), extending their boundaries, while questioning their own identities as first and second generation South Asian migrant artists. Using a combination of traditional and experimental art forms, they've been negotiating their artistic practice in relation to their own communities and as professional artists, are ready to blow you away with their talent.

Come and support Kirthana, Maiyuren Priya, Sumana, Thabo, Vishwethaa and Vivek on their journey as they play the violin, flute, mridangam, veena, sing and dance.

The Flowering Tree is co-directed by Hari Sivanesan and Priya Srinivasan.

Free registration event - please note there is a limit of four tickets per transaction.
