Global Flavour Feast: Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East
Enjoy traditional cuisines from Africa and the Caribbean amongst a variety of cultural performances and live bands!
Two bookable seating sessions to choose from:
- 5.15 pm - 7.15 pm, or
- 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm
FOOD
- The Real Jerk Food Truck - The Real Jerk (as the name suggests) upholds the authenticity and tradition of Caribbean street food.
- Tasty Suya African BBQ - Suya is an authentic African BBQ recipe that involves a 24-hour marination, special wood fire grilling and a special smoking process to bring out its delicious taste and flavours.
- Gourmet Hummus - Known for creating dishes inspired by the food of the Ottoman Empire, which stretched from East and Southeast Europe to the Middle East and North Africa between the 14th and early 20th centuries.
ENTERTAINMENT
- One Spirit Africa - An Afro-fusion band combining traditional West African percussion with Western instrumentation to promote peace & unity through music. Led by Fred Nii Addo a Ghanaian master dancer, drummer, multi-instrumentalist and choreographer based in Victoria.
- Sonik Waves - A Mauritian Cultural Band based in Melbourne. Sonik Waves perform Traditional Mauritian Music the Sega, plays Seggae, Maloya, Moutia, Reggae and are always accompanied by beautiful dancers.
- Roving Spiff Daddy - Spiff Daddy is dressed to impress, you can tell by the cut of his pants & the size of his hat. Spiff Daddy'z performance consists of loads of audience interaction, magic, juggling, unicycling, whip cracking, fire & some funky tunes on a kazoo.
- Tiya Dance Troupe - Belly Dancing
Entry is free with food provided at vendor prices. Booking essential.
