Elysian Blues
Casey’s own national champions, Hung Hing Lion Dance, are bringing their incredible skills to Bunjil Place Plaza for the first time. Fusing tradition, athleticism and spectacle, the team will present the jaw-dropping, Lion dance on poles and showcase why they’ve been crowned one of the country’s best.
Moving from traditional to contemporary, ancient strings meet modern groove as QiQi (guzheng) playing with keys and percussion fuse cultures, rhythm, and playfulness in a dazzling jazz fusion performance with Elysian Blues. Bold, witty, and unpredictable, Elysian Blues celebrates curiosity, connection, and the sheer joy of making music without boundaries.
With an extensive body of work, Yeo has traversed various genres from country to electronica and R&B. For this special event Yeo will bring the vibes with a unique DJ set.
Our youngest artists and their families are invited to get creative with hands-on making activities. Developed by Asian Australian surface pattern designer and illustrator Vanessa Bong (Vess), participants can spend time with Vess creating hanging decorations that feature symbols of Lunar New Year and a large-scale collaborative dinner table artwork.
Bring your picnic rug, grab dinner from a food truck or pack your own and settle into a great night out with family and friends.
It's all part of Week Three of Open Space at Bunjil Place.
Seven weeks of live music, vibrant cultural performances, and open-air cinema all set in the stunning Bunjil Place Plaza and all for FREE.
