This is the story of Kadawara who sacrificed his life for the sake of building one of the largest lakes in Sri Lanka over 2000 years ago.

A theatrical presentation of a Yaaga is an invocation to the divine Spirit of Kadawara. The spirit is known to the generation of noble men who sacrificed their lives for the sake of building a lasting monument to the dawn of the irrigation civilisation of the Hela Nation. The Yaaga is a ritual plea to the Spirit of Kadawara to bring back the glory of the lost humanity from the days of yore to the present times.
