432 Hz: Origins

432 Hz: Origins is an animated machinima short inspired by a longer live cinema performance and speculative "heritage fiction" by the artists Murthovic & Thiruda that reimagines the future of South Asian sonic identity. Set in the year 2069 amidst a landscape of corrupted digital media, the work follows Nomad Radio, a pirate broadcast station salvaging India’s suppressed musical archives led by future avatars of the artists and a cultural cyborg name Meenakshi.
Through a blend of electronica, traditional instrumentation, and AI-generated performance, the piece investigates the "sacred frequency" of 432 Hz—not merely as a mathematical pitch, but as a decolonial tool and a biological bridge to the natural world. By weaving together Vedic geometry, Fibonacci sequences, and the ancient proto-language Ambhasha, the performance invites the audience to tune out the synthetic noise of the future and reconnect with a planetary resonance that predates global standardisation.
