How does living in the suburbs influence art and its makers? How does that change if you're a young person? Join us at Bunjil Place as we unpack these ideas.

Set within the surrounds of Emergent 2023: Graduate Showcase, and immersed in the art, design and photography of local, young creatives, our five panellists will discuss their experience of creating art, the importance of sharing art with the public, and how the context of the suburbs informs their creativity. Through this conversation we will unpack the barriers they face, possible solutions and their hopes for the future.

Panellists include:
Melia Jusufi, Emergent 2023: Graduate Showcase exhibiting artist
Daleia Lacomel, Emergent 2023: Graduate Showcase co-curator
Sarah Reynolds, Emergent 2023: Graduate Showcase co-curator
Joshua Roberts, Emergent 2023: Graduate Showcase and Top Designs exhibiting artist
Gemma Valastro, Emergent 2023: Graduate Showcase co-curator

Moderated by Nyarath Gatkuoth.
