FEVER! is a tribute to the queen of sassy, sexy, sophisticated swing - Peggy Lee!
She is best remembered for her finger-snapping style as she sang about Romeo & Juliet and Captain Smith’s little crush on Pocahontas - but she’s so much more than just the diva that gave us Fever!
Music Theatre star Anne Wood (An American in Paris, Mamma Mia, Crazy for You, The Sound of Music) is a long time Peggy Lee fan and is no stranger to sassy, sexy sophistication herself! She’ll be bringing back ‘50s cool’ as she slips on her vintage kitten-heel pumps and counts in her swinging little 4-piece band ‘The Big Spenders’, serving up sultry swing, sly comedy songs, heartbreaking ballads and a whole lot of that Latin a la Lee!
Songs include Black Coffee, My Man, Why Don’t You Do Right?, Manana, Don’t Smoke in Bed, Sing a Rainbow, He’s a Tramp, Hallelujah, I Love Him So!, Is That All There Is?, Big Spender , Ghost Riders in The Sky, Just One of Those Things & Fever!
