Embellish and Gather: The Offbeat Sari After Hours
Dates

Duration
Location
Join us at Bunjil Place for an after-hours experience of The Offbeat Sari.
The evening will begin with a pop-up talk in the gallery, focusing on key items from The Offbeat Sari. Stop into the gallery to see the stunning textiles and gather inspiration for your own textile creation.
Then, you are invited to spend time with textile artist and traditional Indian textiles researcher Manjari Singh who will lead a drop-in embroidery workshop in the foyer. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to try a different style of embroidery during a relaxed, casual environment – drop in and spend as long as you like working on your own textile creation, no prior experience or knowledge necessary.
Along with warm chai available for purchase from the Bunjil Place café, this after-hours experience of The Offbeat Sari invites everyone to spend time with textiles and fibres, share stories, and create unique embroidered pieces alongside other members of the community.
Attend solo or join with a friend – everyone is welcome.
