Join the Art Gallery of South Australia Assistant Director, Artistic Programs, Dr Lisa Slade for a very special educators’ preview of Kungka Kupu (Strong Women)

Drawn from the Art Gallery of South Australia’s (AGSA) collection, Kungka Kupu (Strong Women) showcases major contemporary works by celebrated women artists from the Aangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands (APY) – cultural custodians of an oral tradition that epitomises the art of storytelling.

During this after-hours event, educators and teachers will hear directly from co-curator Lisa Slade as she shares details of the exhibition, the themes and ideas. Enjoy this wonderful opportunity to discover more about the art, artists and stories of Kungka Kupu (Strong Women) and explore how exhibition themes and ideas can translate into the classroom.

Extend your stay at Bunjil Place and join us for Night MODE: Tales of Being Edition after the Educator Preview. Enjoy workshops and live music exploring themes and ideas of Kungka Kupu (Strong Women)
