Join us across four Thursday evenings during the Casey Winter Arts Festival as four artists show you how to celebrate your story through art. Explore and reflect on the stories within you through art making in the comfort of your own home.

Multi-disciplinary artist Chichi Nwokocha (Cheech) will guide you on a journey of reflection and community.
Foundational techniques to find your own voice and take up space. The hardest part of writing is starting, so let's put pen to paper. Curate your own personal arts practice and play with ways of delivering your poetic work! 
This workshop is broken into various parts including: Word Games and triggers, Call and Response, Scenes and Picture making and Descriptive lists for inspiration. You are invited into Cheech’s safe place to be heard, share and be inspired.

  • Paper and writing utensils.

ABOUT CHICHI NWOKOCHA

Chichi Nwokocha (aka Cheech) is a Nigerian British Artmaker specializing in, spoken word and theatre. She grew up immersed in the creative world, spending summers at the National Youth Theatre, spoken word events and Saturdays at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. In London, she produced and assistant produced several events at Theatre Royal Stratford East, including 2012 Olympic event shows, notably an evening with Wole Soyinka.
