Join us across four Thursday evenings during the Casey Winter Arts Festival as four artists show you how to celebrate your story through art. Explore and reflect on the stories within you through art making in the comfort of your own home.

Throughout this exciting workshop you will learn how to take a piece of garbage and transform it into a piece of functional, up-cycled art with local artist Shan Primrose. Just find a used vessel at home like an old jam jar, a dirty terracotta pot from the garden, a glass bottle from the recycling bin, an empty soup can, or a cracked mug that you would otherwise throw away. Over the 1.5 hour workshop we will use different techniques to transform the piece of rubbish into an artwork that you can display at home, and/or use as a pot planter or flower vase! You will also need to supply your own art materials. If you can’t access an art store, you can use household items such as acrylic house paints, sharpies/posca pens, pencils, paper, glue, images cut out from magazines/books, stickers, rhinestones and more. See you there!
