Our Summer Stage will play host to a few of your known favourite dance cover groups and cover singers.

Come and join us for an evening of good vibes in the form of live entertainment, dance workshops, glitter makeovers and more. We know it’s not a K-pop party without a Random Play Dance! We’ve got you covered with a beat to join in on as we celebrate music from first gen through to fourth gen.

There will be delicious food and boba offerings from our friends at KIMU and Black Pearl Melbourne, as well as our outdoor bar and kitchen. Food and drinks at vendor prices.

Be sure to secure your tickets to the hottest K-pop party this summer.

This event is suitable for people aged 15+.

This event takes place outside in the Bunjil Place Plaza and will continue as planned unless weather conditions prevent us from presenting a safe and enjoyable event. In those instances, events will be relocated indoors if possible. Should we need to cancel for any reason, patrons will be notified as soon as possible via email and/or phone, and full refunds will be provided.

Please remember to be SunSmart and slip, slop, slap, seek and slide!

EVENT PROGRAM

Meet Your Emcee
Cecilia Nguyen is the director of AO Crew and has been with the group since they first formed in 2013. She is an active member of the Melbourne K-pop community, teaching dance workshops around Melbourne CBD, performing with AO Crew, organising community events, and emceeing at K-pop events.

Cecilia has been fortunate enough to emcee at the K-pop World Festival in Melbourne for the past 3 years, 02 Studio’s KComp for 2 consecutive years, and has been the emcee aficionado for AO Crew’s annual K-NEXT event since 2021.

Fun fact: Cecilia used to be mortified by public speaking, but when K-pop group KARD came to Melbourne 5 years ago for their concert, she took an opportunity to interview them and found that it could be fun instead of daunting. She has since been working on her public speaking skills through exposure and opportunities on stage.

Cecilia always works with the intention of bringing people together and hopes she can be someone who encourages younger fans to have fun and enjoy their love of K-pop.

DJ 1808
A long-time K-pop enthusiast dating back to 2008, DJ 1808 started his career in EDM and mainstream and is now solely dedicated to K-pop. With the emergence and success of the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth generations of K-pop music, its popularity has allowed 1808 to give back to the K-pop fan community. He has taken the stage at events including iheartkpop, unofficial concerts, after parties, and K-pop nights at Brisbane clubs.

A few years ago, pre-pandemic, burnt out from a gruelling corporate job, 1808 moved to Korea for a year-long adventure to accomplish a monumental bucket list goal to see his K-pop idols live in concert. Having absorbed the fervour and thrilling energy of concertgoers, 1808 has since dedicated himself to bringing that same passion and spirit to fellow K-pop enthusiasts at events.

DANCE WORKSHOP WITH NV DANCE STUDIO 5:00 PM – 5:50 PM
