Teens are invited to join us on the school holidays for a hands-on embroidery and hand-sewing workshop.

Over the course of three hours, participants will create a textile artwork using embroidery and hand-sewing techniques, often relying on the senses of touch and sound to make stitches. Guided by textile artist and slow-fashion designer Ritika Vohra, this unique textile workshop also explores self-expression and telling our own stories through the use of materials as we select fabrics, ribbons, threads and string through touch and sound. During this workshop we will consider how fabrics and textiles can be used to express identity and create our own works of art.

All materials provided. This workshop is for teens aged 13 - 18 years.

Accessibility: This is a tactile workshop, using our hands to stitch into fabric. The workshop will be seated.
