‘What is it about change that makes it both wonderful and terrifying? Is it about bright new beginnings or overwhelming and painful transformations? Metamorphosis is an inevitable part of life that captures a spectrum of contrasting emotional experiences, from excitement and grief at what one loses to the fear and beauty of what one might find. Whether it is a journey we desire or a journey that was forced on us, we can embrace and go along with its uncertainty. This collection of animations from students, lecturers and graduates of the Master of Animation, Games and Interactivity at RMIT University visually expresses constant transformations in various aspects of life as a way to capture, understand, or emotionally heal from them.’
