SKNOW

The SKNOW project was born out of pure devotion to song. Electronic music producer, experimental vocalist and founder of SKNOW music Sarah van Krieken, harnesses her voice to connect her inner self to the outer world, whilst conveying a story through her rare styles of deep mountain techno and progressive art house.

The SKNOW flow evolves through perfectly placed deeply resonant sounds and improvisation for the space and time, forming a sense of fascinating mystery. A multidisciplinary artist, SKNOW involves expressive visual components, electroacoustic configurations, live vocals, collaborative appearances and dance in her dynamic performances, enthralling audiences at Rainbow Serpent, Dragon Dreaming, Tanglewood, Earth Frequency, Festival No.23, Synaesthesia events and beyond.

Conscious and empowering motifs carry SKNOW’s compositions. Centralising veracious intention and delivery of her music SKNOW continues to explore all realms of art, collaborating with Smilk, Cheshire, DJ Wasabi, Maxi Basshead and Timmus on her journey thus far. Raised in the valley of Mt Beauty, residing in the Central Highlands of Dja Dja Wurrung Country, SKNOW utilises her unique discipline channelled through her artistic form to create awareness of current issues such as climate change, sustainable living, world peace and inclusive society.
