Emotional response to "In the echo chamber"
Emotional.
Moving.
Touching.
These words have been repeated over and over by visitors to Bunjil Place Gallery’s latest exhibition, In the echo chamber.
And it’s no surprise, given the exhibition is an exploration of personal histories and memories of the artist, Jennifer Mills.

With over 120 of her works now on display in the gallery, Jennifer said it was the biggest thing she’d ever done as a visual artist.
In an interview with Richard Watts on 3RRR, the Melbourne-based artist said she'd collected images from all over the place and reinterpreted them, creating a new narrative.
“The stories that I find, they resonate with a lot of people in a lot of different levels,” she said.
Her works cover a lot of different themes, including suburban Australia, while shining a light on stories that rarely get told, from family to disability.
“To have an opportunity to present so much of my work over such a long span has been an absolute delight.”
The exhibition opened on 9 August at Bunjil Place with a special event in the Gallery.
Since the opening, several sold-out activities have been held around the exhibition, including a Watercolour Workshop led by Jennifer. An Artist and Curator Talk is scheduled for 8 November.
The exhibition continues until 16 November.
