And that's a wrap on 4Cs for 2025!

Cultivating Creative Cultures with Communities, more commonly known as 4Cs, wrapped up its fourth performance at Bunjil Place on our mainstage in September.

We've partnered with this impactful program over the last seven years, and seen it grow as it reaches over 20 local schools and community groups this year. 4Cs provides a platform for thousands of young people each year to express their culture through song, dance and storytelling. It is also a VCE Vocational Major course that offers students the unique opportunity to undertake applied learning in event planning and active volunteering.

The program is supported by families, local communities, and schools, with strong cultural leaders supporting young people to share their stories, express their heritage, and stand proudly in their culture. Founder and Director of 4Cs, Laitini Matautia has built this program to be what it is today for nearly two decades.

Year 12 student Kenan Moor performed in 4Cs this year and has completed the 4Cs VCE-VM course.

The 4Cs for me is an outstanding showcase which has opened much more than just having fun, but building relationships, sharing interests and being more than just separate cultures, but one wide community coming in a vast arrangement of vibrant colours and unique flavors. As a performer I've felt the thrill of experiencing the 4CS stage, showcasing my culture to a crowd of guests, allowing them to have a taste of how the legacy of my ancestors have built from generation to generation into what they are seeing today.

Congratulations to all involved! This has been another hugely successful year where we see community connection celebrated through creativity and cultural practice.

Bunjil Place would like to acknowledge and thank all the City of Casey teams and individual staff members that have supported this impactful program as well as key stakeholders including VicHealth, the State Library Victoria, Pa5ifica Seed Inc and Le Mana Pasifika.
