In 2026 Wednesday Night Workshops explore playful art making, opening up to experimentation and enjoying the act of creating.  This month you are invited to create a miniature vessel with resin to capture thoughts, emotions and memories.

During this workshop, we will explore UV resin – a type of resin that sets hard within minutes under a UV lamp, making it ideal for jewellery and small-scale casting. Using small casts, we will incorporate inks into the resin creating tones and ombre, and mix-ins such as stars, flowers and other sparkly items to create a vessel that is unique and special to you. You are invited to write thoughts, emotions and special memories to preserve within the resin – a little message captured within your vessel – creating a special object to hold memory.

Over the course of two hours, teaching artist Yaz Gaté will introduce you to UV resin, and guide you through using the material, inks and casts to create your vessel. Accompanied by snacks, drinks and like-minded folks, this is your invitation to pause your everyday routine, participate in a hands-on, art-making workshop and join our little community of makers.

All materials provided. No experience necessary.

Enjoy snacks upon arrival.

Suitable for those aged 18+.

Who is Wednesday Night Workshop for?

Folks aged 18+ who enjoy being a bit creative and want to meet like-minded people. No previous art experience is required for these workshops, just a willingness to try something new!
