Matter / Maker / Mind explores the jeweller’s embodied experience of making through an evolving visual assemblage of materials, references, memories and forms. The work reveals the living ecology from which jewellery emerges, as images, stories, ideas and forms gather, dissolve and reform through an ongoing process of bricolage.
Reflecting the ways jewellers think through making, the work traces a continual dialogue between material, intuition, tacit knowledge and memory. Here, making is not the execution of a fixed idea, but an unfolding conversation in which matter, maker and mind continually act upon and reshape one another.

Dr Emma Luke
Melbourne-based designer and academic, Dr Emma Luke, whose practice moves between digital media, projection, jewellery and computational design. Merging digital alchemy, atmospheric light and emotional resonance, her work unfolds through ethereal lightscapes, fragmented imagery and impossible worlds. Exploring the shifting relationships between materiality, technology, memory and embodied experience, these worlds move between the physical and immaterial, the ancient and speculative, the familiar and otherworldly.
