Bringing together 20 artists across a range of media, Emergent 2022 sees each artist use their unique style to explore relationships with oneself and others. Experiences of dysphoria and connections to the natural world are also prominent themes in this year’s exhibition. The Beheld by Amalie Roberts is beautifully animated work featured in the exhibition and in the Outdoor Screen program.

Each year, Emergent presents the next wave of artists, designers, photographers, film makers and performing artists from the City of Casey and southeast region. Applications open 7 September 2026.

Selected from over 120 submissions, the 27 artists, designers and film makers exhibited in Emergent 2024: Graduate Exhibition work across a range of mediums, sharing their challenges and concerns, but also their ideas and solutions to problems.
