Learn how to design and print your own fabric design with screen printing.
Continuing Bunjil Place Gallery's series of Wednesday Workshops, textile and craft crew Bats of Leisure invite you to join them for a screen printing workshop.
In this two hour screen printing workshop you will learn how to draw and cut a stencil to screen print your very own design onto fabric with silk screens and ink. All materials will be provided and you will come home with fabric you have designed and printed yourself!
Your teachers will be brother and sister Aaron and Aoife Billings, who are practicing textiles based artists specialising in embroidery and screen printing. The duo go by the name Bats of Leisure. They have been teaching textiles workshops for many years at places including RMIT, Signal Arts (City of Melbourne Council), Work-shop Fitzroy, ACCA and from their own art studio in Brunswick.
Refreshments and materials provided. You must be over 18 to participate in the workshop.
