Cozy up to Casey’s annual Winter Arts Festival!

As the chill of winter sets in, the City of Casey is turning up the heat with the return of the Winter Arts Festival, a vibrant celebration of creativity, colour and community spirit. From June through July, the festival is set to ignite imaginations, spotlight local talent and bring people together through the joy of the arts.

With a mix of free and ticketed events, Casey’s Winter Arts Festival runs across multiple venues including Bunjil Place, Old Cheese Factory and Wilson Botanic Garden, and is the perfect way to support local artists, connect with community, and experience the magic of the arts this winter.

This year boasts an exciting lineup of performances and experiences, including Mamma Mia! by Windmill Theatre Company, live music from talented South East Music students, and the fabulous Queers of Concert.  Don’t miss a special screening of Memoir of a Snail, followed by an exclusive Q&A with Oscar-winning filmmaker Adam Elliot.

Get your camera ready and step into a world of wonder at Lost in Bunjil Place Plaza – a breathtaking, free art installation by Amanda Parer featuring giant, illuminated sculptures of endangered botanical species.

Kids can enjoy interactive theatre shows like The Owl’s Apprentice and Imagine Live, craft activities at Wilson Goes Wild, and a Family Karaoke Night that’s sure to get everyone singing.  Or unleash your inner artist at hands-on workshops in lino printing, clay sculpting, Arabic calligraphy, portrait drawing and paper flower making.

Stay connected and inspired – follow @casey_arts on Instagram for updates, behind-the-scenes content and more.
Come and warm up with us – the Winter Arts Festival is back, and you won’t want to miss it!
