Artist Bio

Ashini Kulatunge is an emerging mixed media artist located in Melbourne South East. She started her creative practice in 2019, focusing on original watercolour paintings and has since branched out to exploring various other mediums such as gouache, pencils, crayons and paper art.

Ashini creates using traditional mediums. She enjoys the slow and surprising process of using unerasable materials and the unique journey they bring to each piece of artwork. Her work can be described as whimsically bold. With the use of brilliant colours, Ashini’s creations pull at your inner child, exposing you to an explosion of colour.

Ashini Kulatunge Studio is an evolving small practice that is continuing to teach and introduce art to all age groups, hoping to teach how to pause, to look at the world a little differently and to let your imagination go wild.
