Have you seen Gosia Wlodarczak’s wall drawing in the Bunjil Place Gallery yet?

The piece, entitled Found in Translation, is part of our Trace Exhibition and encodes a quote inside the artwork. Decode the drawing and you could win a $100 Bunjil Place Voucher.

Wlodarczak has developed a pictorial alphabet.  As the viewer, you are invited to decode the message within the drawing via instructions. Each drawing represents a letter of the alphabet (23 letters and six punctuation marks).  You can use the booklet provided in the Gallery to see if you can crack the quote from Italo Calvino’s 1972 story Invisible Cities.

Figuring it out will require your very best detective work. Send us the code via email or by private message on our Facebook page before Sunday 24 February 2019 and you could win a $100 Bunjil Place Gift voucher. The winner will be announced on our Facebook page on Friday 1 March 2019.

Good luck!
