Over the Summer the Outdoor Screen program has been showcasing performances from top DJs accompanied by visual mixes the best VJs. Check out Montaña Azul and Pixel Angel!
Montaña Azul
Montaña Azul means Blue Mountain in Spanish but unlike her name would suggest, Montaña Azul aka Candice Lemaitre actually grew up in the Southwest of France and started her production and Djing journey soon after discovering the Australian festival culture.
Montaña Azul’s style ranges from downtempo to hard techno, including 50 shades of house, focusing more on tracks' atmospheres, instruments, and textures rather than on a specific genre. She played downtempo, house and techno at numerous private parties, festivals, livestreams and Melbourne/Naarm venues, including Esoteric Festival 2022.
Influenced by her long-time passion for world folkloric music and her travels on various continents, Montaña Azul likes to incorporate sounds from the Middle East, South America, Asia, and Africa into her downtempo sets and take her audience on a world tour.
