Listen closely. Share a voice. Be part of the sound of Casey.

The Megaphone Project arrives at Bunjil Place for a single day of playful listening and connection. This interactive sound installation invites people of all ages to explore sound in simple, surprising ways.

Across the plaza, 25 bright red megaphones in a range of shapes and sizes are ready to be used, spoken into, listened through and shared. Inspired by the joy of tin‑can telephones, the installation encourages moments of curiosity, conversation and connection between strangers, friends and families.

Throughout the day, the megaphones will carry real sounds, real stories and real voices from the City of Casey. The soundscape shifts as people take part, creating a living portrait of the community, shaped by everyone who listens and contributes.

Drop in at any time, stay as long as you like, and experience how sound can bring people together.

About the artists

The Megaphone Project is created by Madeleine Flynn and Tim Humphrey, Australian artists known for making unexpected situations for listening. Their collaborative practice explores how people connect through sound, place and participation, often working in public spaces and with local communities.
