Brown Women Comedy presents this showcase of emerging comedians.
Following sell-out shows at Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Festival and Adelaide Fringe, we are proud to bring you this line-up of brand-new comedians, right here in Melbourne's south-east.
These women of colour graduated from our 2026 Brown Women Comedy Workshops, where, over 8 weeks here at Bunjil Place, they learnt how to create and perform stand-up in a safe, inclusive space.
Join us to celebrate these up-and-comers as they perform their own original comedy.
Meet Your MC:
Meet our workshop facilitator, mentor and acclaimed comedian, writer and presenter Annie Louey.
With a career spanning stand-up comedy, television, radio and documentary, Annie has performed across Australia and internationally, and appeared on programs including The Weekly, The Cheap Seats and China Tonight.
She recently wrote and hosted the documentary Cross Border Comedy for ABC International. Annie has been guiding our 2026 cohort through their workshop journey and will now champion them as they take to the stage for the very first time.
Artist line up will be announced in August.
