This month we’ve set a challenge for our Wednesday Night Workshoppers – drawing with wire!

Guided by teaching artist Yaz Gaté of Tiny Cupboard Crew, this hands-on workshop will see participants working with wire to create two and three dimensional objects. Bring a continuous line drawing to life as you shape and mould soft wire to create a figurative or abstracted object. Add some sparkle and embellish your object with gems, cellophane and other shiny treasures.

From renowned artists like Alexander Calder, to contemporary approaches to working with wire, we will gather inspiration from artists across time who have incorporated wire into their practice.

We will have a range of options and complexities for participants to explore at this choose-your-own-adventure-style workshop. So, grab a friend (or come solo and make a new friend!), book your spot and join in a relaxed Wednesday night of art making.

Enjoy snacks and a drink upon arrival.

All materials provided, and all skill levels welcome.

Suitable for ages 18+.
