Channel 9’s Postcards visits Bunjil Place
Bunjil Place welcomed the crew from Channel 9’s Postcards into our Gallery to film a special segment on our latest exhibition The Offbeat Sari, a major exhibition celebrating the contemporary sari.
The crew spent the morning exploring the exhibition, and host Brodie Harper interviewed Bunjil Place Gallery Curator Penny Teale, who shared her insights into why The Offbeat Sari has resonated so strongly with visitors and the significance of presenting the exhibition exclusively in Victoria.
The Offbeat Sari, is a touring exhibition from the Design Museum London and features more than 50 extraordinary garments from some of India’s leading designers. From woven steel and sculptured silhouettes, the exhibition challenges perceptions of one of the world’s oldest and most ensuring garments.
Don’t miss your chance to visit The Offbeat Sari, on now until 30 August and experience this exhibition for yourself and keep an eye on Channel 9’s Postcards to catch the segment.
