Casey Cornucopia Education Programs for Schools

Casey Cornucopia is now over and we are no longer running Education tours for the event. Please scroll down to access our free Education modules and resources for teachers which can still be used in the classroom.

Casey Cornucopia was a 24-day festival celebrating the produce and land of the City of Casey. Featuring tours, food hub presentations and a spectacular sculptural installation of three giant foods surrounded by the worlds first flavour fog there was plenty to experience. As part of the festival, Bunjil Place launched a unique Education Program full of free lessons and modules for you to use in the classroom.

About the Tour:

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Winter Arts Festival, Bunjil Place in collaboration with Bompas & Parr presents Casey Cornucopia - a series of fruit weather sculptures showcasing the heritage of Casey’s foodways and the remarkable produce of the region.

Giant produce sculptures collide with the first outdoor fruit-based weather system for your tongue. Set in the Bunjil Place Plaza the installation will explode fruit to an architectural scale, spatialising flavour to become an immersive and inhabitable cloud. This will swirl around vibrant sculptural models of Casey’s produce illuminated with dynamic lighting. The bespoke flavoured smoke system released from the base of the sculptures will run every day for 24 straight days - with a different flavour being featured each day.
