The very popular Daytime Music Theatre series continues in 2024 with Series 2 kicking of in July!
The onstage talent starts of with a bang with a trip down memory lane with Normie Rowe AM LIVE, Australia’s most successful pop idol of the mid-60s. He produced a string of hits that are an important contribution to the soundtrack of the Baby Boomer generation. Que Sera Sera, Shakin’ All Over, It Ain’t Necessarily So, It’s Not Easy and Ooh La La.
Then in August it's a celebration of the smooth, smooth sounds of the 70s with Top of the World! Easy Listening Hits of the 70s. What better way to celebrate the sweeter side of 70s pop than by spending a fun filled hour with Melissa Langton and Mark Jones - the Captain and Tennille of Australian Cabaret!
The fun continues in September with Mr Entertainment starring Bobby Fox, returning with his new show. This all singing all dancing Irishman delights with the very best of Jersey Boys, Saturday Night Fever, Riverdance, Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, George Michael and many more. He sings, dances and entertains with stories from his career.
The talent doesn't stop there. In November one of Australia’s most versatile leading ladies in musical theatre, Alinta Chidzey takes the stage in Dionne Warwick and the Songs of Burt Bacharach. Legendary hitmakers Burt Bacharach and Hal David were writing exclusively for her during the 60s so she had an extraordinary run of hits. She was the top selling female artist of the 60s and her songs are, incredibly, even more popular today than they were when they first hit the airwaves!
Lastly, in December, delight in all your Christmas Favourites with Rejoice and Be Merry It's Christmas 2024 featuring Roy Best, Michelle Fitzmaurice and Chris McKenna. With a wonderful mix of Classic Christmas Carols and contemporary Christmas songs to get everyone in the true Christmas Spirit. Featuring popular Christmas tunes like O Holy Night, White Christmas, The Holy City, and indeed Rejoice and Be Merry. This stellar cast brings a great sense of humour, sure to get audiences into the Christmas Spirit. Stay tuned for some surprise special guests!
